How it works
Start in three clear steps

Create account + first household

After creating your account, CartWhiz immediately prompts you to create your first household, or join one using an Invite Code (Join household → Enter invite code).

Additional households can be created/joined from Settings → Households (Pro).

Add items / plan meals

Add groceries, organize them in folders, and map out the week in Meals so everyone knows what to buy and cook.

Shop + track receipts/budget

Check off items while shopping, add receipts, and review budget totals to keep household spending on track.

Frequently asked questions
How does inviting someone with a code work?
Open the invite icon or Settings → Members to view your Invite Code. Share it, and they join through Join household → Enter invite code.
What is the difference between private and shared folders?
Shared folders are visible to the whole household. Private folders are only visible to you, which is useful for personal reminders or planning.
How do receipts connect to budget totals?
When you add a receipt, CartWhiz includes it in the monthly household totals so you can track grocery spending trends over time.
Why does switching households sometimes look delayed?
If your connection is weak, the app may briefly show cached data before syncing the new household. Once online, the latest data appears automatically.
Can I restore my Pro purchase?
Yes. Open Pro settings and use Restore purchases while signed in with the same App Store account used for the original purchase.
